Does anyone know of an old song with the lyrics “On Toulouse and Burgundy things can get a little wild, just a little bit wild.”? It was sung by a woman in a recitative style. I had it long ago on vinyl, but lost it. I've stumped the internet in looking for it.
after some creative searching just found it …
looks like it is from the song Burgundy Street Blues by Monette Moore over George Lewis' Clarinet recorded on Jazzin' the Blues, Vol. 5: 1930-1953
heres where i found the tidbit o info: http://tinyurl.com/BurgundyStreetBlues
