The second line, led by the Hot 8 Brass Band, includes theatrical and musical performances as well as street art installations along the route created by artist Ron Bechet’s Xavier University students.

The parade begins at noon on Congo Square with a performance by the Kumbuka African Drum & Dance Collective, and concludes at the New Orleans African American Museum on Governor Nicholls Street with a free community health and resource fair from 3-5 p.m.
