Acme and Felix’s—it’s what and what. This man here been shucking for 25 years—when you get good like this, you don’t want to do nothing else. Hey, neph, you put that root beer in the mail?

How am I doing? I’m doing without right now!

What are you eating?

Oysters. I like seafood. Anyone in my family have a seafood boil—shrimp, crab, crawfish—I eat it all, boiled or fried. This horseradish here, it’s hot! Open your sinuses up. It don’t get no better than that.

What other restaurants do you go to?

Jacques-Imo’s, and Dooky Chase’s. Leah Chase is my aunt, so I go by there.

Now this is a problem: I’m too full to drive.
