Third-Annual NOLA Summer Jam Moves to Lemann Playground This Weekend

NOLA Summer Jam, New Orleans’ summer hip-hop festival, returns this weekend with a day of music, fashion, art and dance exhibits highlighting some of the hottest local hip-hop artists. The fest moves locations this year, taking place at the Lemann Playground on Saturday, June 23 from 5 p.m. to midnight.

The festival lineup this year includes headliners Stalley, the Stooges Brass Band, Flow, LG, Monsta Beatz, Keedy Black, Paasky, and a special surprise guest. Over 25 artists will perform, with DJ Poppa, DJ Chicken and DJ Lemonhead spinning throughout the evening.

Started in 2010 by Lawrence Parker (owner of Traffic Boutique clothing store, Supreme Street music group, and New Orleans Underground Hip-Hop Awards organizer), the festival has grown each year as an annual gathering of some of the city’s freshest up-and-coming rap and hip-hop artists.

For the clothing-conscious, the festival has added a summer fashion show with contributions by Ink Junkiez, Rocksmith, the Wandering Aura, Traffic Boutique, and Last Rights, among others. Tickets are $15, $10 in advance. For more info, visit nolasummerjam-eorg.eventbrite.com/
