Jazz Fest 2013 Lineup Announced

The moment countless music lovers in the region and beyond have been waiting for has arrived. After months of speculation, the talent lineup for the 2013 edition of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival dropped this morning, and we’ve got your info here. Now.

Mac Attack! Fleetwood Mac are among the headliners at Jazz Fest 2013.

This year’s headliners include (the much predicted) Fleetwood Mac, Willie Nelson, New Orleans-raised R&B/hip-hop darling Frank Ocean, Billy Joel, Austin axeman Gary Clark Jr., Jazz Fest 2012 cancellation John Mayer, alt folk-rock faves Band of Horses, the Joshua Redman Quartet, jam band mainstays the Dave Matthews Band, poet and punk legend Patti Smith, Ben Harper, Hall & Oates, the Black Keys, Maroon 5, reggae icon Jimmy Cliff, nu soul chanteuse Jill Scott, Widespread Panic and many more.

Tickets, both single day ($45 at present, plus service fees) and in several VIP packages, are available now — single-day prices will increase to $50 in “mid to late January, exact date to be announced,” so buy ’em now.

Check out the day-by-day details on the 44th annual event, running April 26-May 5 at the Fair Grounds Race Course, below, and sound off in comments. What do you think of this year’s Jazz Fest roster?
