Flow Tribe releases “Fiya On Esplanade” video, hosts EP release party

New Orleans funk-rockers Flow Tribe are not stopping to take a breath. Hot on the heels of a busy Jazz Fest 2013 schedule, this week they release the music video for their new single, “Fiya On Esplanade” and host a release party for their new EP this Saturday, May 18 at the Maple Leaf Bar.

Now a staple on the college and festival circuit, Flow Tribe further define their style, self-described as “a soul-shaking mixture of sounds guaranteed to drive you wild,” with this latest project, entitled Painkiller, released digitally through most major online music retailers on Tuesday, May 14. The first single off the EP, “Fiya On Esplanade” addresses a curious “neighborhood watch” story, perhaps a slight departure from the lyricism of previous songwriting. The band invites you “pop a painkiller” by experiencing their fresh new tunes online or live in concert this week.

Sample Flow Tribe’s Painkillers by watching the video for “Fiya On Esplanade,” recorded live while on tour in Knoxville, TN (which strangely enough looks a lot like the cozy Maple Leaf stage)  here.
