Formed in 1999 after fiddle player and singer Louis Michot hitchhiked for three months through Canada, the Lost Bayou Ramblers bring out the best of acoustic Cajun tunes. Infused with swing, rockabilly, blues and rock, their music is unique among their contemporaries.

Along with Louis Michot, accordionist Andre Michot, New Orleans drummer Eric Heigle and Cavan Carrouth on guitar and vocals have been touring through much Europe and the United States for the past 15 years, including performances at the National Folk Festival, the International Country Music Conference in Nashville, the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens Chile Pepper Fiesta, and at the historic Preservation Hall.

Their high energy live concerts are largely responsible for the band’s success. On stage, the spirit of their cultural and musical heritage meets their fervor and brings a music that is intense and inspiring. Their tracks always maintain smooth and balanced rhythms suitable for dancing, which make their energy and music even more contagious live.

Tickets for the show are $14 and can be purchased on Tipitina’s website.
