Gretna Heritage Festival Adds Joan Jett and Paul Rodgers

The Gretna Heritage Festival has announced that Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will be replacing Cee Lo Green as the headlining act on Sunday, Oct. 5.

Joan Jett, Gretna Heritage FestGreen has been dropped from multiple festival lineups after pleading no contest to a single count of furnishing a controlled substance and making controversial comments about rape on Twitter.

Since her 1975 debut with The Runaways, Joan Jett has been an incredibly important figure in the feminist movement.

She famously challenged the idea that women had no place in rock n’ roll and has subsequently become the inspiration for multiple generations of female rockers.

In addition to those changes, The Gretna Heritage Festival has added Paul Rodgers of Bad Company as their headlining act on Saturday, Oct. 4.

The festival will also now host a showcase of the area’s most popular food trucks.

Admission to the event is $20 for a single day or $25 at the gate. Weekend passes are available on Ticketmaster for $47.50. Children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge.
