Great to read Mac’s story……..We met him in 1976 when he produced an album for Van Morrison and arranged and played “Didn’t he Ramble” with Van & my Band….a few years later I called Mac and he came over to England to help my Band’s recording album “Take me back to New Orleans”…we worked together between 1980 and as recently as early this year.including sessions together at Tipitina’s and a number of memorable recordings including the DVD “Mardi gras at the Marquee”…We owe more than I can explain to Mac for his advice, musicianship and Love…… …all Hail to the Master!!!!………..Chris Barber
