The Threadhead Records Foundation assists musicians and artists whose work promotes the cultural heritage of New Orleans but do not have the resources to produce and distribute their work. Applications are now being accepted for the next round of grant funding from individuals and organizations residing in Louisiana. The foundation will fund up to four grants with a maximum requested amount of $3,000.
Last year, the foundation funded a number of projects, including filmmaker Lily Keber’s documentary Bayou Maharajah, Panorama Brass Band’s 17 Days and the New Orleans Helsinki Connection’s album Love Song for New Orleans. Applications are due October 10.
