Marc Broussard, Cyril Neville, Big Chief Juan Pardo Added To Seafood Fest Lineup

The 2017 Louisiana Seafood Festival takes place at Woldenberg Park next month when a new iteration of the event moves to its new location. From Friday, October 27 through Sunday, October 29, our state’s unique culinary culture will take center stage as more than 20 food vendors serve up heaps of oysters, lobsters, shrimp and, of course, plenty crawfish. The fresh and flavorful eats will also be celebrated through cooking demos by celebrity chefs, the details of which have yet to be announced.

Local taste is not the only star of Seafood Fest. This year’s festival will also highlight the state’s homegrown talent in the music sphere. The Bud Light Music Stage will feature three days of live music representing Louisiana’s many musical genres—country, R&B, funk, brass, roots rock, and jazz. In a previous report, Tab Benoit’s name was included in a list of performers, but he is no longer available. In his place will be Marc Broussard, but he’s not the only addition to the already all-star lineup. Also performing are Cyril Neville & Swamp Funk with Special Guests Daryl “Dezo” Johnson & Big Chief Juan Pardo. The remaining performers are:

Bobby Cure’s Poppa Stoppa Band
Bonerama
Bucktown All-Stars
Christian Serpas & Ghost Town
Darcy Malone & the Tangle
Dragon Smoke
Dumpstaphunk
Gal Holiday & the Honky Tonk Revue
Louisiana’s LeRoux
Paul Varisco & the Milestones featuring Luther Kent
Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. & the Zydeco Twisters
Soul Rebels
Space & Harmony (featuring members of the Revivalists and Naughty Professor)
Where Y’acht
Wise Guys

The full schedule is also available now, via the Fest’s website.

As the recipient of a community partnership grant from the Jazz & Heritage Foundation, this year’s Seafood Fest (produced by the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation) is able to employ these artists. Ticket sales also help and are now on sale. Prices are $10.00 for a general admission one-day pass and $25.00 for a general admission weekend pass.  Kids 12 and younger will receive free entry with a paying adult.  VIP tickets are $65.00 for adults and $30 for kids 12 and younger and include an official festival t-shirt, open bar, tented area, private restrooms and front-of-stage viewing access.
