Mardi Gras 2018 is shaping up to be of historic proportions, thanks in no small part to the impending tricentennial of New Orleans. As such, krewes across the board are taking full advantage of celebratory circumstances and upping the ante — including krewedelusion, which has announced “The TrySinTennial Bedlam Ball.”

As the name suggests, the event will “explore 300 years of envy, greed, gluttony, lust, pride, sloth and wrath.” It all goes down on January 27, when the Ace Hotel will host the Night of Delusion parade’s after party inspired by centuries of New Orleans’ sinful history. Featuring drag, burlesque, music and what’s being described as “a wicked kickoff,” the TrySinTennial Bedlam Ball will begin immediately following krewedelusion’s new parade route into the Central Business District, at which point revelers will march directly into the Ace Hotel for the ball. According to organizers, the event will be “bigger, bolder and filled with more bedlam than ever,” making the $30 cost a steal (especially when pre-sale purchases come with a discount on drinks).

Music performances from DJ Tree and Vinsantos will be joined by a drag show from Nicole Lynn Foxx and burlesque by Darling Darla James. A food truck and cash bar will keep sinners satisfied.
