On May 18, 19 and 20, the banks of Bayou St. John will transform into festival grounds as Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo returns for its 13th annual edition.
The full music lineup for the free fest has been announced and with it a bevy of noteworthy firsts. Original Meters guitarist and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner Leo Nocentelli will make his debut Bayou Boogaloo appearance, as will Marc Broussard, Deacon John & The Ivories. Other performers are:
Bag of Donuts

Festival founder and producer Jared Zeller calls the lineup “a truly diverse wish list,” adding “Leo Nocentelli and Deacon John are living musical legends who played on many recordings that define the New Orleans sound and greatest hits catalog. But we also have bands new to the local audience such as the progressive Pet Fangs and Paa Kow, an African music ensemble from Colorado.”
Presented by Positive Vibrations Foundation, the 2018 Bayou Boogaloo will feature music on four stages, a curated arts market with over 60 regional artists, a Family Village with games and activities, food from 30 local restaurants and caterers as well as paddling, biking and yoga activities.
