Big Tymers Announce Long-Awaited Reunion Show

New Orleans hip-hop icons Big Tymers will reunite for a show at the House of Blues New Orleans on Friday, October 7.

The duo, which consisted of Cash Money Records founder Birdman and in-house producer Mannie Fresh, called it quits in 2005 after the release of their fifth and final album, Big Money Heavyweight. Mannie Fresh parted ways with Cash Money that same year, but the upcoming reunion signals his return to the label’s orbit.

Interestingly, this announcement comes just a few days after Apple Music unveiled the trailer for its new documentary, The Cash Money Story: Before Anythang. The forthcoming film is the first collaboration between the record label and the music streaming service, who signed a partnership deal earlier this month.

According to a press release, the Big Tymers show will feature classic tracks like “Get Your Roll On” and “#1 Stunna,” as well as “possible specials guests and opening acts for the long-rumored reunion.”

Tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday, September 2 at 10am.
