Bone Thugs-N-Harmony celebrate 25 years of hip-hop classics at House of Blues

On July 25, Cleveland hip-hop icons Bone Thugs-N-Harmony performed at the House of Blues New Orleans, sans two of the five members. Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone and Flesh n Bone performed for a packed house after the audience was subjected to over an hour worth of performances from sub-par openers. There were a couple of bright spots, particularly Kickback Dynasty.

Once the Grammy-winning ensemble hit the stage, spirits were lifted and the incredibly diverse audience inhaled classic hip-hop material including “Crossroads,” “Let’s Ride,” “For the Love of Money” and “1st of tha Month.” Though Bizzy Bone and Wish Bone were not in the house, the performance lacked nothing in energy. Rather, the three-man crew reminded the audience what 25 years of expertise does for stage presence and performance skill.
