Lin Manuel-Miranda’s cultural juggernaut “Hamilton” became much more than a Broadway musical when it caught fire in 2105. The following year, it earned an astounding 16 Tony Award nominations and 11 wins, including Best Musical. Its soundtrack won a GRAMMY Award and it has become one of theater’s most successful pieces of work, ever.
Its success meant countless sold-out shows, with folks having to register months in advance for any hopes of seeing the game-changing work blending hip-hop with American history and Broadway theater. The same is likely to be the case for the upcoming New Orleans shows, which take place at the Saenger Theatre in March.
Those who were unable to register in advance for tickets (registration closed on January 14) will be at the mercy of re-sellers and/or friends and family lucky enough to nab tickets. Here is a list of “Hamilton” dates:
