Watch The Trailer For BUKU Music + Art Project 2019 ( + Pre-Sale Tix)

It’s been less than two months’ time since BUKU Music + Art Project took over Mardi Gras World for the 2018 festival, a raucous, magnificent delivery of youth culture and all the bass. On March 22 and 23, BUKU Music + Art Project 2019 will deliver the festival’s signature blend of underground warehouse culture with a small-city feel again. Taking into consideration the sold-out 2018 installment, BUKU organizers have announced that today (May 2), pre-sale tickets will become available.

That’s right. Even though the artist lineup isn’t expected until the fall, organizers are anticipating a massive turnout and are therefore releasing pre-sale tickets for the 18+ event at 12 p.m. local time (2018’s expanded festival site greeted 17,500 daily attendees, the highest BUKU attendance to date). BUKU Music + Art Project 2019 will be the eighth installment of the festival, which donates a portion of proceeds from the event to support the Upbeat Academy Foundation, an educational non-profit program for New Orleans youth that teaches the technical and creative skills of hip-hop music production.

A sampling of past performers at BUKU include A$AP Rocky, Bassnectar, Chance The Rapper, Die Antwoord, Future, Earl Sweatshirt, The Flaming Lips, Gramatik, Honey Dijon, Illenium, Jamie Jones, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Boosie, Major Lazer, Nas, Passion Pit, Run The Jewels, SZA, TV on the Radio, Vince Staples, Zeds Dead and many more.
