One of our favorite things about ESSENCE Fest weekend is the way it electrifies the city. Beyond the incredible performances from megawatt and rising stars, the indispensable value of panel discussions on important topics, the general feeling of empowerment and community and all the other things inspired by the annual affair, the way its attendees connect with one another across New Orleans is truly inspiring.
