Festival Bonfouca, a New Three-Day Event in Slidell, Reveals Inaugural Lineup

Festival Bonfouca, a brand new three-day arts and music festival will take place along the banks of Bayou Bonfouca in Slidell’s Heritage Park March 18 – 20.

The inaugural lineup includes Big Freedia, Cyril Neville’s Royal Southern Brotherhood, Marcia Ball, Sonny Landreth, Chubby Carrier & the BAyou Swamp Band, Bag of Donuts, The Molly Ringwalds, Lynn Drury, Honey Island Swamp Band, Mike “Soulman” Baptiste & The Real Soul Band, among others.

Additionally, the festival will also feature a curated arts market with 20 regional artists, a Family Village with children’s games, and food from a variety of local restaurants and caterers. A number of recreational activiities are also planned, including canoe and kayak rental, and a fishing tournament.

Festival Bonfouca is being produced by MotherShip Foundation, the team behind New Orleans’ annual Bayou Boogaloo.

Tickets for Festival Bonfouca are currently available for $8 per day and $18 for a three-day pass, though those prices will rise by $2 after Mardi Gras.
