Foo Fighters to perform with Trombone Shorty, Pres Hall at Fillmore NOLA

Earlier this year, OffBeat.com reported on the forthcoming, grand opening of the Fillmore NOLA, a new entertainment venue located upstairs from Harrah’s Casino.  The state-of-the-art 2,200 capacity concert hall will celebrate its grand opening in February 2019 with not one, but two performances from Grammy Award-winning band Foo Fighters. And they’re bringing along some special, local guests to get the joint warmed up.

Foo Fighters will be joined by Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue on Friday, February 15. On Saturday, February 16, they’ll be joined by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Foo Fighters come to town to highlight our opening nights,” said Ben Weeden, COO Live Nation Club & Theaters. “With Trombone Shorty and the Preservation Hall guys opening up, we feel so honored to be able to combine NOLA’s rich musical heritage with one of the world’s most popular artists – it’s the perfect way to get things started.”

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 12 at 10 a.m. However, there will be a presale for the sure-to-sell-out double header. That starts Wednesday, October 10 at 10 a.m. and the password is VOCALS.
