The Lilli Lewis Project, the rock and soul sextet that spans multiple generations and styles, has announced a new project and a residency at the soon to be renamed Siberia Lounge.

Consisting of Lilli Lewis on piano, Smokey Brown on guitar, Wade Hymel on drums, Ryan Murray on percussion, Ole Oddlokken on sax and Dr. Jimbo Walsh on bass, the band has become adept at a genre-blending style, mastering everything from classical to contemporary.

“The band came together as we were all looking to create a form of music that is multi-cultural and multi-generational,” said Lewis. “We are excited about our residency at Siberia, as it will give us a chance to grow our audience and momentum for the upcoming record release.”

We Belong, the band’s first album, will release on Sept. 6, under the label Louisiana Red Hot Records, the same record label that released Lewis’ 2018 live album, The Henderson Sessions. 

To promote the new album, the band’s Radical Decency Revival tour will take place at Siberia Lounge, on every third Friday from July to Dec. of this year. The exact performance dates are as follows: July 19, Aug. 16, Sept. 20, Oct. 18, Nov. 15 and Dec. 20. Each show will start at 6 p.m., at 2227 St Claude Ave. A Brazilian Street Food Kitchen will be at the venue during each show. The band will also perform for a Sunday Women’s Musician Series from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 15.

The band named the show Radical Decency Revival in reference to their belief that musicians have the ability to change the world through art.
