The Historic New Orleans Collection Celebrates the Season

This holiday season, The Historic New Orleans Collection (The HNOC) in the French Quarter, gets festive with host of cultural events and a museum shop brimming with unique local gift ideas.

Here’s a list of the goings-on this month:

Holiday Home and Courtyard Tours of the Williams Residence

December 5, 2014 through January 4, 2015

The Historic New Orleans Collection, 533 Royal St.

This two-story brick townhouse was built in 1889 and restored in the 1940s. It was owned by The HNOC’s  founders, General L. Kemper and Leila Williams.

Presentation and book signing for Rolland Golden: Life, Love and Art in the French Quarter

Saturday, December 13, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Historic New Orleans Collection, 533 Royal St.

Painter and Louisiana native Rolland Golden’s latest book chronicles his participation in the early 20th Century era of the Quarter.

Photographer Tina Freeman’s book provides a comprehensive portrait of the city’s most accomplished artists and their relationship to space.

Creole Christmas

Saturday, December 27 and Sunday, December 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tours begin at the 1850 House, 523 St. Ann St.

The HNOC will once again be participating in the annual Creole Christmas tours of five historical houses in the French Quarter, which are all beautifully decorated for the holidays.
