"Bloodborne – Unmasking The Red Death" will be part of InFringe Fest

InFringe Fest showcases a surreal collection of avante-garde theater for its 4th year

From Nov. 7 through Nov. 10, InFringe Fest will return for its 4th year, hosting more than 30 shows across the Marigny-Bywater, St. Roch and Arabi.

InFringe Fest is a theater and arts festival which seeks to explore the weird and subversive through musicals, postmodern theater, multimedia shows, burlesque and more. Hosting both comedies and dramas, InFringe 2019 is the sole full-scale festival for performing arts in New Orleans.

Included in this year’s lineup are shows such as “All Borders Are Fake, All Titties Are Real: These Are Some Poems, My Hot Takes, And Feels”–a performance of both poetry recitation and commentary–and “Bag of Bones”–a post-modern musical by Big Empty Barn Production, following the story of a man trapped in a house with spirits.

Other shows at the New Orleans InFringe Fest include “Bloodborne,” which is a retelling of Poe’s “Masque of the Red Death,” “Candy Cotten,” an afro-surrealist production that merges music, mime and spoken word, “Clark Wade–A Jazzy Tragedy,” an adaptation of Danny Barker’s “lies embellished truth,” “Drift,” a surrealist multimedia dance theater performance and more.
