Jam Cruise announces another stacked lineup for 2018

The 16th edition of Jam Cruise will feature performances by Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood, Galactic, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Maceo Parker, Lotus, Lettuce and more when it sets sail from January 17-22, 2018.

As previously reported, next year’s party will take place on a different ship—the Norwegian Jade—and will embark from Miami before making stops in Roatan, Honduras and Grand Cayman Island.

The beloved music-festival-on-a-cruise-ship will also include sets from Steel Pulse, Keller Williams, Voodoo Dead (Steve Kimock, Jackie Greene, Jeff Chimenti, George Porter Jr. and John Kimock), The New Mastersounds, Dumpstaphunk, Antibalas and Turkuaz, among others. Additionally, recent OffBeat cover artists Naughty Professor will make their debut on the boat when they team up with Jurassic 5’s Chali 2na.

As we’ve noted during our coverage of the event’s two most recent incarnations, Jam Cruise is one of the best parties around, particularly for fans of New Orleans music. The 2017 edition, which took place in January, featured two headlining sets from The Original Meters, plus performances by Galactic, The Revivalists, The Soul Rebels, Neville Jacobs, DJ Soul Sister and more. You can check out our recaps of Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5 of this year’s celebration.

Cabin selection for those who pre-booked will take place May 10-12, and general on-sale for those who didn’t is set for May 10. The full initial lineup can be found via Jam Cruise’s website, as well as in the graphic below.
