Jam Cruise Releases Lineup for 2013 Cruise with funky Meters, Dumpstaphunk, Soul Rebels, Galactic

Jam Cruise announced the lineup for their 11th-annual 5-day cruise and concert series yesterday, featuring some of the top-billed jam bands in the country and several Louisiana artists. Headliners include moe., Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Steel Pulse, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and Big Gigantic. Local artists appearing on the ship include the funky Meters, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, the Soul Rebels, and Galactic.

The cruise sets sail January 7, 2013 from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and will make stops in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos and Coco Cay, Bahamas. Cabins on the cruise go on sale Wednesday, May 30 at 11 a.m. CST jamcruise.com, while those with pre-booking tokens will be able to select their cabins starting May 8.

Jam Cruise is also sponsoring its annual Jam Cruise at Jazz Fest night show, the Royal Family Ball, Thursday, May 3 at the Howlin’ Wolf. Artists performing include Soulive and Lettuce and Friends. Tickets are $25.
