Jammin’ on the River Debuts New Free, Weekly Concert Series on Riverfront

Friday the 13th kicks off a new free, public concert series, “Jammin on the River”. The six-part, family-friendly series is sponsored and hosted by Mardi Gras World, as well as the Howlin’ Wolf and Ampersand Events. Each Friday night will feature a different artist as well as a late-night DJ set to keep the party raging.

To start the series, The Boogiemen will be headlining with Vox and the Hound opening the show at 5 p.m. Don’t worry about eating dinner first—gourmet food trucks will be posted outside, as well as a cash bar. The concerts will also feature local artists and craft vendors. Next week, Friday, July 20, the Hot 8 Brass Band will be headlining with the Scorseses opening, and the riverfront series will return August 3 with the Bucktown All-Stars and the Scott Schmidt Band.

Admission is free, and concert takes place along the river at the Mardi Gras World next to the Convention Center.
