Jazz Fest Lineup 2012: The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival Artist Roster Announced

1st Weekend Lineup 2nd Weekend Lineup

The 2012 Jazz Fest lineup features headliners The Eagles, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Foo Fighters, Zac Brown Band, John Mayer, Herbie Hancock, My Morning Jacket, Ne-Yo, Al Green, Bon Iver, Paulina Rubio, Jill Scott, Bonnie Raitt, Bunny Wailer, and Florence + the Machine.

This year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell takes place Friday, April 27 – Sunday, April 29 and Thursday, May 3 – Sunday, May 6. Tickets are on sale. Packages for the first (3 days) or second (4 days) weekend are available for $40/day. Individual tickets are $45 through February 29, when they go up to $50. Tickets at the gate are $65, unless you can pass for 10 years old or younger, in which case they’re $5.

Some other visiting artist highlights are: Janelle Monae, Iron & Wine, Feist, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Cheikh Lo, Esperanza Spalding, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Levon Helm with Mavis Staples, and Grupo Bombino.

    The Eagles are playing on Saturday, May 5. Exact time and stage haven’t been announced yet, but it’ll almost certainly be the Acura Stage, and they’ll close it or play second to last
