Jazz Road announces webinar for jazz musicians looking for grants & more

Jazz Road is an organization which helps emerging and mid-career jazz artists through grants and other forms of support. On May 30, Jazz Road’s program director Sara Donnelly will lead a webinar to inform musicians about the application process.

Musicians who successfully apply for support from Jazz Road are eligible for grants up to $15,000 “to build tours that reach new audiences and include three to six sites, with an emphasis on bringing jazz to rural, isolated and underserved parts of the country.” The webinar will guide attendees through Jazz Road’s program, application guidelines and more. 

According to its website, Jazz Road is “an artist-centric touring and residency grants program to spread jazz throughout the country, strengthen work opportunities and compensation for jazz artists, and bolster deeper engagement between jazz musicians, presenters and communities. U.S.-based jazz artists that define themselves along a career level spectrum.”
