The 20,000 square foot venue located in an early 1900s building owned by Samuel H. Kress, a prominent art collector and department store entrepreneur, will feature a recording studio, stage, five bars, a balcony, and a cutting-edge light and sound system.

In addition to the music venue and recording studio, Kress Live has established “Harts full of Soul,” a foundation aimed at giving donated instruments to students, providing music academies, and offering the opportunity to record at the in-house studio.

Kress Live will also double as the American Heritage Museum for Music, allowing visitors to view artist memorabilia and participate in interactive history tours.

Honoring their promise to host both local and national acts, fellow New Orleans’ funkers Flow Tribe will play Kress Live on July 25.
