The parade will gather at 6:30 p.m. on Elysian Fields in the Marigny and proceed through the “Boo Carré” all the way to the Lower Garden District.

Revelers will be treated to a variety of locally and hand made candies and throws, most of which will be collectable or consumable to cut down on waste.

The parade will be followed by a spectacular “Monster Mash” costume party at Mardi Gras World, 1380 Port of New Orleans Pl., where Blaine Kern Studios have been building their dazzling papier-mâché and fiberglass parade floats since 1947.

The party will have an open bar and feature raging performances by Destructo and Big Sam’s Funky Nation.

Tickets cost between $50 and $100 for non-members, and entry is free for members.
