Krewe Of Pygmalion Announces T-Pain as 2020 Grand Marshall

With Mardi Gras just around the corner, there is no shortage of exciting news about the upcoming parades. The Krewe of Pygmalion is no exception. The organization just announced prominent rapper-turnt-sanger T-Pain will be Grand Marshall of their 2020 parade.

The Krewe of Pygmalion was founded in 1999 by a group of Carnival veterans who wanted to provide a high-quality parade during the first week of the Mardi Gras season. With thousands of people captivated by the colorful floats, jamming marching bands and incredible throws every year, the Krewe of Pygmalion has quickly made its annual parade one of the most anticipated events of the Carnival season.

Adding Tallahassee native rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer, T-Pain, to the equation will surely make the Krewe’s 2020 appearance a memorable one. Known for his several award-winning R&B hits including “Buy U a Drank,” “Bartender,” and “Im N Luv (Wit a Stripper),” T-Pain has become instantly recognizable all over the country. While he has made significant appearances at many music festivals such as Electric Forest, Bonnaroo and Life is Beautiful, being Grand Marshall of a New Orleans Mardi Gras parade will be a new step for the famous rapper.

The parade will take place on Saturday, February 15, along the traditional St. Charles Avenue parade route.

If the parade is not enough, you can catch a special performance by T-Pain at the famous after party, Pygmalion Festival. Doors open for the festival at 9 p.m. at The Sugar Mill. Not to mention, the renowned rapper will not be alone. Both Chromeo and Flow Tribe will be performing as well. More information on the parade can be found here, and tickets for the after-party can be purchased here.
