Marigny Opera House Reopens for Fringe Fest

The Marigny Opera House is has reopened in time to host Fringe Fest events throughout the weekend.

The popular venue was shuttered by the City of New Orleans yesterday, on the first day of Fringe Fest, but it will be open for audiences tonight and through the remainder of the Festival.

There is no further change in the schedule for the weekend, so all remaining shows will start at the previously scheduled time.

“The response from local artists and theatre makers has been incredible,” Fringe Fest spokesman Ian Hoch said in a statement. “The show of support and eagerness to help in any way possible has truly warmed our hearts and strengthened our resolve to put on the absolute best Fest ever!”
