Hurricane Isaac definitely drowned out several of New Orleans’ events last week, but its impending threat didn’t stop the Krewe of O.A.K. from motorboating down Carrollton Avenue on Saturday, August 25. OffBeat photographer Kim Welsh was on hand for the Mid-Summer Mardi Gras and captured a hearty helping of the D.I.Y. parade / costumed carnival / binge-for-all.
