New Orleans Live, a new weekly one-hour music show of all-local musicians has announced the taping schedule dates and performers for its first season of live music shows from New Orleans.
Readers of the Weekly Beat and OffBeat.com know about the revival of the well-beloved live music show Louisiana Jukebox. We’ve published many archives of the shows and given you the chance to see a lot of New Orleans music history.
The Jukebox show, which ended when Hurricane Katrina destroyed the studio in which it was taped, returns as New Orleans Live, and the schedule has just been released. A series of shows will be performed and taped live from August 3 through August 11 at Generations Hall, 310 Andrew Higgins Blvd., in the Warehouse District (the location of OffBeat’s Best of The Beat Awards—by the way, this year’s awards are set for Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Gen Hall). There will be two shows each night, with tapings of different shows at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. with different acts at each. At press time the lineups are:
