The Largest Beer Fest In The Gulf Region Is Back, With Music

On Saturday, September 23, the 8th annual NOLA on Tap Festival will provide thirsty locals with more than 400 locally or nationally brewed beers on top of a ton of entertainment. Presented by The Bulldog and Louisiana SPCA and sponsored by Port Orleans Brewery, the event will help kick-off Oktoberfest in New Orleans. Awards, food, contests, dog-friendly, art & merchandise vendors, non-beer drinks and games will all be featured at what is one of the largest fundraisers for the local animal rescue organization – and what could be better than drinking for a good cause?

Though the official beer list for this year’s festivities has yet to be announced, the 2016 version can give you an idea of what to expect. What are readily available are ticket packages, which range in price depending on what it is you’re looking for. Pre-sale prices will run through September 17 and are as low as $5. For those interested in what to expect as far as music and entertainment is concerned, we’ve got you covered: Miss Mojo, The Breton Sound, plus Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes are all on tap to provide attendees with live music.

It all goes down at the City Park’s Festival Grounds on Friedrichs Ave., with general-admission doors opening at 12p.m. Early VIP arrival is also an option, and the event will run until 7p.m. For more information, check out the festival’s FAQ page.
