Friday’s lineup begins with a 10 a.m. screening of WWOZ co-founder Jerry Brock’s 1987 film, In that Number: The New Orleans Brass Band Revival. Held in the Monroe Library, the presentation will be hosted by Gregory Davis (Dirty Dozen Brass Band) and Gregg Stafford (Young Tuxedo Brass Band), who appear in the documentary.

Following the film, the Baby Boyz Brass Band will give a free concert in the Loyola campus’ residential quad while various food trucks serve up lunch options for your dining pleasure.

In the afternoon, Preservation Hall creative director Ben Jaffe will present the lecture “New Orleans Jazz on Film,” featuring rare archival footage of local jazz legends.

The day will conclude with a keynote event including performances by the Loyola Faculty Jazz Band, the Young Tuxedo Brass Band and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. The 7 p.m. concert will be held in the Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall Communications/Music Complex
