OffBeat Seeking French Quarter Fest Volunteers

Want to get involved in the music scene, work with one of the city’s most renowned publications, and help support the extraordinary musical culture that exists only in New Orleans?

OffBeat Magazine has two booths at French Quarter Festival this year for which we’re seeking volunteers to help us distribute our April “French Quarter Fest A-Z Guide” issue and to sign people up for our Weekly Beat, the award-winning e-newsletter that keeps musicians and music lovers around the world in the loop about New Orleans happenings.

We’ll be right in the middle of the action at this free outdoor festival, and it should be a lot of fun. The work isn’t difficult; volunteers just have to be friendly, punctual, and not leave the booths unattended.

We’re a small staff with a passion for the city’s music and culture, and there’s definitely a lot of it to cover. We’re extremely grateful for the help we get from other New Orleanians at events like these.

The shifts are 10-2 and 2-6 each of the four days of the festival (Thurs 4/9 through Sun 4/12).

If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you! (We’ll be looking for Jazz Fest volunteers in the upcoming weeks, so be on the look out for that announcement as well.)
