OffBeat Up for Six Press Club Awards

[UPDATED] Last night, the nominations for this year’s Press Club of New Orleans Awards, and we’re pleased that OffBeat‘s up for six awards. The awards hosted by retired WDSU meteorologist Dan Milham will be presented July 17 at the Harrah’s Hotel, and the evening will honor Lifetime Achievement recipients Angus Lind of The Times-Picayune and Byron Hughey of the public relations firm Hughey and Associates. We learned this afternoon of another nomination in another category (that judges were late in returning). Our November 2009 cover featuring the Noisician Coalition was nominated for Best Cover, which brings us to a total of nine nominations for seven awards.
