After a year off, the Ponderosa Stomp held its 11th music history conference, record show and concert last week (October 3-5). On Friday and Saturday nights (Oct. 3-5), Rock ‘n’ Bowl played host to the festival’s salute to American pop, rock, soul, surf and R&B’s unsung heroes. Favorites from night one included soul madman Swamp Dogg and sassy chanteuse Chris Clark while psych rockers the Gaunga Dyns and garage pop-ster Chris Montez stole the show on night two.
