Po-Boy Festival Declares Winners

The 10th annual Oak Street Po-Boy Festival brought thousands of po-boy, music and beer lovers to the Riverbend on Sunday.

Attendees were able to see tunes on three stages and take their pick of 50+ po-boys from over 30 different vendors. Many of those vendors were also competing in the festival’s po-boy competition, which doled out a few prizes to some of the weekend’s best bites. The winners were determined by a panel of judges, who made their announcement during the festival on Sunday.

And the winners were:

Best Oyster – Red Fish Grill (barbecue oyster po-boy)

Best Shrimp – Red Fish Grill (shrimp and pimento cheese po-boy)

Best Seafood – Ajun Cajun (soft shell crab po-boy)

Best Beef – Blue Oak BBQ (pastrami brisket po-boy)

Best Pork – Bratz Y’all (pork schnitzel po-boy)

Best Sausage – Bratz Y’all (nuernberger po-boy)
