Christmas is coming early to New Orleans. This Saturday, July 27, Rudolph’s Revenge will kick off its first ever Summertime Christmas Block Party. The party, which has been thrown in other cities but makes its New Orleans debut this Saturday, will begin at Barcadia on Tchoupitoulas at 11 am. As evening approaches, the festivities will move around the corner to Generations Hall on Andrew Higgins Dr. for an all night free music and dance extravaganza.

Rudolph’s Revenge is a party series that began in Delaware in 2007 and has travelled all over the country since, putting on numerous unforgettable bashes along the way. This Saturday’s block party will feature drink specials from Abita Brewery, brunch and barbecue specials from the Barcadia kitchen, and live music from The Free Drinks and Orlando-based DJ Brian Dawe.

In addition to $2 Abita Ambers all day, drink specials include $2 Stellina Prosecco Mimosas, $4 Grand Marnier Margaritas, $4 Belvedere cocktails and $4 shots of all kinds. Early birds will have the option of free barbecue, so be sure to arrive early before it’s all gone. At Barcadia, partygoers will be treated to any two brunch items for the low price of $12.14. Daytime entertainment will be provided by the Free Drinks, a cover band who specializes in 90’s pop hits from the likes of Better Than Ezra and the Dave Matthews Band. At 10 pm, the party will move to Generations Hall, where DJ Brian Dawe will perform his unique brand of mash-up heavy electronic dance music (EDM). Partygoers are encouraged to deck themselves out in their finest red and green summertime attire.
