The Slidell Jazz & Blues Festival will take over Heritage Park in Slidell, LA on Sunday, May 27.

Artists on the bill include contemporary jazz staples Astral Project, blues prodigy Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, jazz singer Stephanie Jordan, old school soul/R&B tribute act New Suit and young Slidell-based brass outfit the Big E Brass Band. Festival gates will open at 3pm, with the music lasting until 10pm.

Admission to the Slidell Jazz and Blues Festival will cost $10. A portion of the proceeds from the event will support local music education and/or provide music grants or scholarships to local young musicians through Notes for Education Northshore. ‘
