The Gravy: Live at the Market with Gerald French on May 17

OffBeat food editor, Elsa Hahne hosts the May edition of The Gravy: Live at The Market this Friday, May 17 in the French Market with special guest Gerald French. She will conduct a live interview with the New Orleans drummer and current Original Tuxedo Jazz Band leader about his musical family’s French heritage cooking traditions. French will also present a live cooking demo on the preparation of his grandmother’s spinach casserole recipe, with sample tastings for the audience to follow.

The Gravy: Live at The Market takes place every third Friday of the month on the Farmers’ Market Stage at the historical French Market, located at the eastern end of the French Quarter, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The event is always free of charge and open to the public.
