Our thoughts are with Ingrid Lucia after the passing of her father, Poppa Neutrino – William David Pearlman – Sunday at University Hospital at age 77.

His wandering life has been partially documented in the 2007 book by Alec Wilkinson, The Happiest Man in the World: An Account of the Life of Poppa Neutrino, and the documentary of his effort to cross the ocean on a raft, Random Lunacy.

Lucia’s husband, Dwight Marshall, sent us a link to an unreleased recording of a beautiful, charmingly fragile and sweet version of “Basin Street Blues” by Poppa Neutrino. Download it here.
