The Magnificent 7 Announces Only Live Performance Of 2017

The Magnificent 7 have been quiet over the last year and a half, but the New Orleans all-star conglomeration is back to perform live. On Friday, September 22, the group will take to Tipitina’s stage for what is thus far the band’s only live performance of 2017.

Comprised of Dave Malone of the Radiators on guitar and vocals; Dave’s brother and subdudes’ frontman Tommy Malone on guitar and vocals; John “Papa” Gros of Papa Grows Funk on keyboards and vocals; and Bonerama’s lead horn and lead singer Mark Mullins on trombone and vocals, The Magnificent 7 will be backed up by yet another group of stellar musicians. Rob Mercurio of Galactic fame will be on bass, with Raymond Weber (formerly of Dumpstaphunk and Dr. John’s Lower 911) on drums and Mike Skinkus (Moyuba, Ed Volker Trio) on percussion.

The band’s magnificent return to the stage goes down at 10p.m. $20 tickets are available here.
