Talking Dreads are led by Mystic Bowie, a Jamaican singer whose close relationship with Talking Heads members Chris Franz and Tina Weymouth began in 1996 when he started singing for their band Tom Tom Club. According to their website, Talking Dreads perform renditions of Talking Heads tunes that are “not so same as it ever was.”

Founded in New York City in 1975, Talking Heads released a series of groundbreaking albums in the late 70s and early 80s. The band was also known for their exciting and eccentric live shows, some of which wereimmortalized in 1984 concert film Stop Making Sense. The band–David Byrne, Jerry Harrison, Tina Weymouth and Chris Fraz–called it quits in 1991.

Tickets for Talking Dreads are now on sale.
