Treme Creole Gumbo Festival to Bring Brass Bands, Gumbo to New Orleans this Weekend

The ninth annual Treme Creole Gumbo Festival will take over Armstrong Park in New Orleans this weekend. Slated for Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13, the event will feature a headlining set from the Rebirth Brass Band, along with various gumbo vendors.

Other artists on the bill include the Soul Brass Band, Hot 8 Brass Band, Pinettes Brass Band, New Breed Brass Band, Treme Brass Band and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.

In addition its brass-heavy lineup, Treme Creole Bumbo Festival will also feature cooking demonstrations from famed chefs like Susan Spicer and Leah Chase.

Music will begin at 11am and last until 7:15pm. As usual, the festival will be free and open to the public.
