Outlaw Country Superstar Willie Nelson Announces New Orleans Appearance

2017 Best of the Beat Award winner for Best Club, House of Blues, will host country legend Willie Nelson on Thursday, March 8. Upheld as possibly the biggest icon of the “outlaw country” movement– and one of the most influential country stars of the 20th century– Willie Nelson shook up the Nashville sound in the ’70s, leaving a permanent mark on the genre. His career  is a testament to the evolution of country over the century, absorbing genres and constantly evolving his sound over his long career. Time doesn’t seem to slow Willie Nelson down: America’s beloved, old-school icon already has a packed schedule of touring for 2018. After last year’s Outlaw Country Music Festival— headlined by Nelson, the Avett Brothers, and Sheryl Crow– canceled its New Orleans stop, anxious fans can finally catch the show they’ve been waiting for.
