Free workshop to focus on making the most of a record release

Ariel Hyatt, founder of Cyber PR and one of the pioneers in digital strategy and fan engagement for independent artists, will be the special guest at an upcoming, free workshop focusing on “making the most of your record release.” The workshop is part of the Jazz & Heritage Foundation’s Sync Up series, which focuses on music business.

Sync Up Workshop: Making the Most of Your Record Release takes place at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20 at the Jazz & Heritage Center (1225 N. Rampart St.). There, you can expect to hear advice on what exactly you should do after recording new music. “Just because you’ve finished recording doesn’t mean your record is ready to release into the world,” say workshop organizers. “There are many other steps you can and should be taking – from registering copyright and performance rights protections to metadata to building a groundswell of excitement.”

Though attendance is free, seating is limited. Please register to attend here.
