Here’s a little footage from the rally for Derrick Tabb and his Roots of Music after-school music education program, in honor of their nomination for CNN’s Hero of the Year competition. CNN will name its Hero of the Year on Thanksgiving night, and Rebirth Brass Band’s Derrick Tabb is one of the 10 finalists. Derrick has been chosen for his efforts in founding Roots of Music, which you can learn more about in Lauren Noel’s article from our November issue.
